
Directions - A Guide to colouring & painting sugar faces
Colour the moulding paste to a flesh colour. Cheeks – use a soft dry brush and blush on a pink petal dust Eyes – Paint with white petal dust, iris use colour of your choice then with a non toxic black felt pen pop in the pupil. With a pointy tooth pick get a small dollop of thick white wet petal dust and pop a glint on the side of the black pupil. Mouth – Paint the smile lightly with a fine brush . Hair – Curls are small balls of icing then added with a little cake decorators glue and pressed on with a pointed tool or tooth pick. Straight hair is lots of thin rolled sausages of coloured
Tools & Requirements - Soft
small brush for brushing cheeks – Fine brush for painting eyes, mouth &
brows – pointed tooth pick for adding eye glint and curls. To moisten petal
dusts for painting use clear alcohol (gin, vodka, white rum) as it dries
quickly and won’t make your icing soggy. Cake Decorators Glue for adding hair. Cake Decorators petal dusts for checks, eyes, mouth & brows. Moulding Paste for face. Food dyes for colouring hair and skin. Fine non toxic pens for drawing baby hair,
eye pupils and eye lashes if required.
